Ohana means “family” but speaks to the concept of a larger family that is not necessarily connected by blood. An Ohana is special. The people within it are bound together by genuine compassion, culture, support, loyalty, and absolute love for each other. To become a part of someone’s Ohana is a great honor.
Family means the world to us and Ohana Kombucha is a wonderful gesture in which we can share our love and gratitude from our family to yours!
Kombucha is an ancient recipe that has survived the test of time, earning names like “elixir of life, and the tea of immortality”. Kombucha starts with natural sugar, tea, and SCOBY (symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast). That hard-working SCOBY consumes the sugar and converts the tea into an effervescent ferment. We then add cold-pressed organic juices, roots, and herbal blends to give you a traditional beverage balanced with modern flavors. It’s believed that fermented food contains probiotics that aid in digestion, organic acids for detoxification, B-vitamins for a boost of energy, antioxidants to neutralize free radicals, electrolytes to help regular nerve and muscle function, and live enzymes to improve nutritional absorption.
We use traditional fermentation methods to create live enzymes, probiotics, and naturally occurring organic acids. We believe that Mother Nature is the best chemist, which is why we show respect to the 2000-year-old fermentation process of brewing Kombucha. Nothing is added to mess with the biochemistry of our brews.
On top of the potential benefits of Kombucha itself, we infuse our brew with functional herbs and roots which enhance the anti-inflammatory, and antioxidants properties your body needs to keep healthy.
Our flavor combinations push beyond the ordinary which vary from traditional to unconventional. We are proud to support local producers and use only the best ingredients, which gives our product the freshest and extraordinarily delightful taste
We do not pasteurize our product! When you work so hard to cultivate a happy environment for gut-friendly probiotics and live enzymes, why would you wipe it all away?
